Accredited Adult, Adolescent and Child Therapist
UU L4 Certificate in Counselling, UU Fdn Degree in Integrative Counselling, Post Qualifying Diploma in Trauma Informed Counselling for Children and Young People.
Hello, my name is Jackie and I am a BACP accredited counsellor with Antrim Counselling. I have been working as a therapist since 2017 supporting adults, children and young people with a range of issues in a range of settings. As an accredited therapist, my aim is to offer you a safe, confidential space that is only about you, to help process events either from the past or in the present, aiding healing and personal growth in a non-biased, non-judgemental setting. I have a particular interest in trauma and the impact that can become embedded in our everyday life. I can support you with your personal journey by having someone listen to your needs in a way that leaves you feeling respected and accepted as an individual.
As an integrative counsellor, I incorporate three main therapies; Person-centred, Cognitive and Behavioural and Psychodynamic to create flexibility and choice for each individual client. I offer a professional, warm and confidential service to enable people to live the life they want to, empowered and informed to make the choices and move forward.
I hold qualifications and am accredited in the following areas;
- Accredited Counsellor/Therapist
- Accredited Child and Adolescent Therapist
- Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training (ASIST)
- First Aid for Mental Health
“In the end, it’s not what happens to us that matters most – it’s what we choose to do with it. Sometimes the hardest way to show up for ourselves is to ask for help” – Edith Eger, 2020
